Freddy (b.1998) blends aesthetics from printing practices and digital forms of image generation and distortion. Narrative and motifs are often drawn from folklore local to the Midlands where Freddy lives, to create paintings that evoke a sense of temporal dislocation. His work often explores degradation and interweaving caused by repeated and combined use of graphic manipulation.
Freddy studied Print and Time-Based media at Wimbledon College of art and completed his Master’s in painting at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2024. His practice employs ways of making from the fields of both print and painting.
