These prints continue to explore Geoff’s relationship to his environment. The pigments were obtained from the shale spoil of the drilling rig that bore 3 x 100m holes in his garden to install a ground source heating loop.

They are printed on smooth limestone paper that has no grain, the prints are made by pressing  wet pigment onto sheets of glass creating intricate natural repeating patterns allowing complexity to emerge from the materials and process.

“My work explores our relationship with nature through slow, pre-industrial craft and painting techniques, emphasising ecological connection and collaboration with the land.” - Geoff Diego Litherland
